The vast majority who apply for e.g. Google, selects a result on the first page of results. It is this page that determines whether one is found on Google or not. The job that must be done to end up here is called search engine optimization, and is abbreviated SEO (Search engine optimization). In short, it involves structuring your website in a way that makes Google read it better than other websites. If you search for the word “restaurant” for example, you will get over three million hits . If you end up on other pages than the first page of these results, then the probability is high that you will not be selected. This way you miss out on a lot of leads. Or, put another way: By being good at SEO, you can be found by more people, increase the number of visitors to your site, and increase your sales in just a few weeks or months.

Simple Tips

Some simple SEO tips:
  • Have a good title for your lyrics. This is effective and very important when Google is reading your page.
  • Use words in the title and text that you think people will search for.
  • Choose a title that invites further reading of the article or topic.
    • The rule is that from the customer visits your page, it takes approx. 3 seconds before deciding whether to stay or leave the website.
  • Links to own site and other sites.
    • These links, also called hyperlinks, are important to increase traffic to your website.
  • Be active on social media, with links to your website.
    • Feel free to use subject tags (#) on relevant keywords in your posts (Twitter and Instagram).
